I maintain a strict policy of no generative “AI” use in all of my classes. My goal as an instructor is to train my students’ abilities in creativity, data analysis, and written presentation. Any use of LLM-related “tools” is counterproductive to those goals. When there is reasonable suspicion that any student work has been prepared in this way, I do not hesitate to assign zero credit to the assignment, and report course policy violations to the Office of Student Conduct.

As human beings, we are endowed with language abilities and reasoning skills superior to any generative “AI” model. Do not let anyone convince you otherwise!
